Deleting ghetto Vtec wiring for a NON-Vtec swap
im putting a d15b2 in my 95 hatch
i have no idea how to go about correctly disconnecting the vtec wiring. it seems like the guy didnt know what he was doing it. it just looks all ghetto. (pics to come)
the motor that was in it was not running right at all before i pulled it
should i just buy a non vtec engine harness?
and the p28 will have to be chipped and tuned to run the b2 correct?
or will i need a b7 ECU ( p07? i think?)
i was told to use a b7 dizzy with this swap. but wont any 0bd1 dizzy work?
caues i already have a z6 dizzy

if the engine wire harness is all screwed up it may be easier to get a new engine harness and disconnect the existing one at the shocktowers.
B7 ECU = P06 (P07 = D15Z1)
VTEC and nonVTEC distributors are different part numbers.
the P28 will have to be chipped and told to not look for the VTEC parts or it will set a CEL. You might be better off selling the P28 and buying a P06. Make a little money and the car will run better.
