hey i have this problem with my engine i just blew the turbo on my d16a6 so i decided to just take my vitara pistons out and put the stock ones in but before i did that the car was running fine but just with a little idle drop when i stop and a lil smoke from the turbo seal and now that i put the stock pistons on i start the car and it idles fine but once it warms up the second i press the gas peddle it starts to die out and then the idle jumps back up and sometime and most of the time it shuts off i did a compression check and i got wierd numbers for 5 cranks like cyl4-235 cyl3-215 cyl2-235 cyl1-220

 

r u using the same ecu..the tuned ecu?

tuned ecu but it was tuned for without turbo when i was using it

 

what does your wideband say. try another ecu and see what it does

 

i dont have a wideband and i just took the engine apart and it had a deep scratch cyl-3 between the sleeve and thewater holes so i brought it to the machine shop to be recut and hesaid that could of been the problembut i wont know till i get it back and put it back together

ok i put the head on and it was resurfaced and cleaned machine mechanic said the head is fine now what i noticed is when i press the gas and release it the idle drops like it wants to shut off and all the lights dim and when i give gas again the lights get brighter and also i changed the ecu and same thing happens

 

i think i fixed the problem i had 2 holes in the hose that connects to the iacv and the thermostat housing
