I'm looking at buying a pre-built LS/Vtec thats going for around $750. I am doing this because currently I have a B17 that is going down hill (blown piston rings, leaking vtec solenoid gasket....) So basically, I was just wondering, for swapping in the LS/Vtec, what must be done to have it in and working correctly?? For example, like engine mounts? and any other stuff? Any help would be great, thanks.

 

why would you wana swap in the lsvtec motor while you can just rebuild the b17..if you want slight bump of a displacement just grab a b18a/b internals and install it with arp rod bolts and should be great motor....if you really want to swap in the lsvtec you can use ur own mounts everything mostly can be tranfered from ur b17 to the lsvetec motor

 

Well rebuilding the motor is probably more work for him as opposed to swapping one.
