I have a question about K swaps, air conditioning, and CA smog legallity. First I assume doing a K swap and getting BAR certified would be the same process as if you were doing a B swap but are there any specifics that a novice should know about? Also how much work would it be to swap over the A/C components from the K series to a 99 - 2000 civic 4 door. I'm trying to justify this to myself and trying to price it out a bit to justify it to my wife. If I can get the car, the swap, and keep it CA legal for under 17,000 I think I can talk the old lady into it. We would spend 20,000 on a new car anyway.

Uhhh, pretty sure this post is telling you there's a dedicated forum to these kinds of questions. Way to catch on.

It has been a couple of weeks. The point was to let people know that they can discuss K-specific things at https://honda-tech.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=153 if they want.
