I tried to install my new place racing crossmember and one of the bolts didnt line up...1/8 of an inch off. I didnt want to force it and end up stripping the thread so I gave up and replaced the stock one. I was wondering if anyone of you here had the same problem? My car was never in an accident and original crossmember is untouched and fits perfectly. Any suggestions other than getting it exchanged? I'm now getting inclined to get the Z10...but damn...twice the price as place's...

Yup...got it last week. But I may have to ship it back to Sheng (jdmhondparts) and get it exchanged...freakin defective. It would have been nice, especially with the extra front mount
Anyhew...Sorry I wasnt able to stop by. I'll catch u again this week sometime.

Yup...took off both tow hooks. Front mount came with the crossmember but the bolts for em didnt. half inch shorter than the tranny bolts worked.
did you jack the car up??
wait of course you did
but when i did my engine swap i couldn't get my stock front member on unless i put the radius arms on first dont' know why you can try that

What r u talking about? who said i took the radius arms off? the tow hooks were out, the radius armes were in, the 2 bolts on each side are the ones that didnt line up.

Thank you for all your efforts...its probably just a manufacturers defect. I will arrange for it to be shipped tomorrow and hopefully get the replacement in a few days. Except I threw the box it came in and making one would be a pain...How about another thread in "how to make a good shipping box for odd sized items." lol.

Exactly what I'm gonna do...but I'm sure they'll charge me for both items til they receive the defective one...Oh well...Que se ra, se ra
Mine went on really smoothly. One thing I would recommend is installing it with the front wheels on ramps rather than jacking up the car. This way, the car will sit exactly like as if it were on the road. Also, install the bolts just a little bit until you get all 4 in place. I added Anti-Sieze to mine also to prevent thread damage.
