alright heres the deal,i origiinally had a 94 integra ls and swapped a 99 jdm b18c-R into it..everything seems to be running normal until i hit vtec...when i engauge vtec sometimes it throws a cel of code 22...it doesnt do it 1st-3rd gear as often then higher rpms. i checked the vtec solennoid and its nothing clogging, oil pressure good..when i engauge it some days its fine but others, right after i engauge it it throws a cel any ideas on why it would to that?
JDM engines don't have VTEC oil pressure switches. This will prevent you from going into VTEC if you're using a USDM ECU. You'll need to splice the VTEC oil pressure switch wire on the ECU side to the VTEC solenoid wire.
this could be as simple as running the wrong oil weight best to use 5 30 but i would also check the oil pan it may have gotten crushed a little and be restricting the pickup tube
