Icon6 GOD DAMN IT!!! MY CLUCH IN ON THE FLOOR AGAIN!!!

i have put so much FN blood and sweat into this GOD DAMN CAR!!!

EJ8

my clutch line and vaulve ARE tight... and fluid is full.... and some how my tranny fluid keeps getting low to the point were my cluch will start engaging too early, then finally.. ill let is sit for a while ill come out, hop in it, and the cluch will hit the floor and stay there... this is the second time this has happened this month.... i see no puddles where there could be a hole of any kind... the first time it took my three hours to build presure in the line, most of the time i think i was doing it wrong though....

so just to make sure im doing it right.... tighten the vaulve- pull the pedal up... release the vaulve and push the pedal down.... repeat until there is presure... "RIGHT?"... i did it last time and it worked.... NOW iv been out there for an hour doing it and its not working

what the F! could be causing this... ima bout to push this car into a river, real talk

i thought it was push the pedal down then release the valve, wait for bubbles to stop flowing through tube then close the valve and lift the pedal and repeat till completely bled

I'd check the slave cylinder man. Sounds like you have a leak.

Bottle method is taking a hose, putting it on the nipple, then putting the hose into a bottle submerged under fluid. Then open the the valve, and pump the pedal slowly. I personally dont like that method, but some use it. I use a hand held suction tool. Its called a Mity Vac, can buy it at sears, or most any auto parts store. Sounds to me like your master cylinder is bad if you cant find any leaks.

Yeah the bottle method is just an alternative to using one of those hand pumps or a power bleeder if you are lucky enough to have one of those...

The main point is that if you bled your lines before and you lost pedal pressure again then either your slave or master is bad... It is a very common for one of them to fail and only slightly less common for both of them to fail close together on these cars...

MASTER CYLINDER was bad... good eye... it was the furthest thing from my mind... i got the hand held pump before i just asumed it was the master cylinder... i tested both the lines and the hose all the way up to the mc... you don't know HOW many times that damn hose popped off and blasted me in the face "no homo"... so i went under by the pedals and sure enough... a had a stream of fluid running down behind my floor mat... so i went and got a new MC from kragen and swapped it out... 15 minutes...

now i see just how F'ed up my clutch pedal really was... its like it was never really fully engaging to begin with... maan hondas are troopers... i drove that thing from LA to the bay and vegas and back like that... poor fella, i had not idea

thanx yall... i was so ready to take a louisville to it

have you replaced your clutch master cylinder? And if you do go ahead and replace the slave cylinder.. its only like $20 for the slave cylinder so you might aswell do it to.

MAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!

OK so yep it happened again today in the middle of a 102 degree day.... from 3 to 7 i was out there IN THE "HWOT FIYA".... i popped off the slave boot and *splash*... so yea you were right... so i ran to kragen and scooped up a new one... popped it on and proceeded to bleed the line.... "no dice"... presure is not holding... it holds fo about a minute or two while driving... then goes away....... WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE???????? NEW MASTER CYL NEW SLAVE CYL... LINES ARE GOOD... MAAAN WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE???????

looking further....

so the clutch begin loosing presure half way through first gear... by second gear there is about 30 % clutch left and if i ride it to long... to the floor it goes... and then hits only way presure stays in the clutch is by me stopping the car and rapidly pumping the clutch with my hand for about 20- 30 seconds and the presure is fully returned.. but then the same thing happends..... im am fn confused....... i have no idea what else it could be
