so i went to start my car yesterday and pushed the clutch in and it went straight to the floor and didn't come back up. i checked the fluid and it was right on the MIN line. so i put some new dot 3 brake fluid in and it helped a little but not much. was i supposed to bleed the line? this happened once before a while ago, i put some fluid in and it's worked fine ever since, now this just happened out of nowhere. any help would be appreciated. thanx in advance HT.

bleed it...its seriously not that hard
i just had to do mine in the parking lot at my job
also check where your actual clutch pedal is inside the cabin
if its all wet you need a new master cylinder
you might have to pull back the carpet a little
also pull off that rubber boot on the tranny and see if its leaking on your slave
its not hard to replace them just a little time consuming

yes it does help. thank you, i really appreciate it. i've just never bled my clutch before, but i assume it's pretty similar to bleeding brakes. i'll give it a shot tmrw when the sun comes up. thanx again.

you probably have a leak so check where your pedal is behind the carpet
when you bleed it loosen the cap and as soon as fluid starts squirting out quickly screw it back on

The bleed might fix it temporarily but you probably have a leak somewhere. Same thing happened to me not that long ago and I just had to replace the slave...

so it turns out i have a leak inside the car. and i guess that means it's the master. i just bought a brand new one and i'm gonna go put it on right now. anybody got any tips for the install?
