93 del Sol -- Not Starting...Fuel Question
I apologize in advance for making a new thread...I couldnt find the answer in any of the FAQs or archived threads, although its a for sure simple thing.
D15B7 not starting...
Main relay is fine
Oil just changed
Head jus machined and new gaskets everywhere
Plugs and wires changed (and were working)
Fuel system fine UNTIL the fuel rail
I pulled the rail (with injectors) and tested to see if it would spray on startup...no go. The fuel does, however, get to the rail (accidentally didnt have it connected and doused myself in fuel
)
Is there any chance its NOT the injectors? Any pointers on what else to troubleshoot? Cheap cleaning solution that doesnt involved super expensive chemicals/tools/machines for the injectors? Thanks for the help.

A voice from the other hemisphere. Maybe the U.S. will some day be able to challenge your national team in soccer.
Is the CEL ON? Do you have spark at the plugs?

Lol! Actually jus got back from Argentina, and Im 100% Californian! But ya, their national team is pretty phenomenal!
No CEL
Had spark at the plugs last I saw (this morning) and the big problem from this afternoons work seems to be some kind of electrical signal thats not being transmitted to the fuel injectors...all the connections are good and the main relay is good...what else controls the injectors??

You need a voltmeter or multimeter. Disconnect each fuel injector clip, turn the key to ON(II), and measure voltage at the Yel/Blk wire using the engine as ground. You should measure battery voltage.
Going a lil deeper...im still not 100% on what is feedin the signal to the injectors...the only solid info I could find is that a main cause is the MAIN RELAY, which i checked out...what else should I be lookin at?
The question is whether the main relay or the wire are failing to deliver power. That's what the test will answer.
Im gonna find a way to get one of those today...is there anything between the main relay and the injectors that isnt the wire? Or is it jus straight wiring all the way between them?
if you dont have a voltmeter... how did you check main relay? just because it clicks isnt a solid test and should not be overlooked.
like ron said..check Y/B wire for volts on injectors. that same wire (Y/B) goes to IAC valve so you can check power there too.
your ground for the relay is thermostat housing. clean this connection.
Y/W wire is constant power to the mainr relay. if there is no power check ECu fuse.
check for key on power at main relay on the BL/Y wire. if no power check fuse 24 and or 12 in dash fuse box.
if the relay has power and ground but not turning onthe injectors i would suspect relay is faulty.

Its lookin inevitable to pick up a volt meter...then Ill have to run these procedures you mentioned.
Also, something found out through help from TSC forum, im not gettin spark at the plugs after all...wtf? I dont understand how so many things can all of a sudden go wrong! Lol! There has to be some deeper connection--ONE thing--that failed.
