I have a 97 civic ex im doing a auto-manual swap. What engine harness can i use? Do i have to use a 96-98 ex harness or can i use any obd2 harness from 92-95 and 96-98 v-tec or non v-tec as long as its a 5spd one?

I would find a usdm 96-98 ex manual harness.. theres no such thing as a obd2 harness from a 92-95. And no you cant use one from a 92-95 civic. You can use any 96-98 engine harness as long as you decide to do the modifications to it and as long as its manual. The best harness to use is your original engine harness. You can just modify it.. Im not sure if you can still use the auto harness though.. someone correct me

Yes you can use your stock harness you will most likley have to change around some pins and or remove some. But it's all relativley easy to do. Get the wiring diagrams for both the AT and the MT chassis and go from there. It's not as hard as you would think. Wiring scares people when it's not as bad as one might think.
