b16a1 in EF hatch wont run
Posting this for a friend.....on the drive home from buying the car, check engine light started blinking and then it died. At first it didnt start at all and then we found that the o2 sensor ground came off, connected that back up and it starts and idles at 400 rpms. But if you give it any gas it sputters and then dies. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on this one. Its just running the regular A1 ecu. Car is stuck at a gas station right now. Any help would be much appreciated.
it might be a lot of factors, what code whats it trowing when it died?? check the ecu light, and tell us. that usually tells the problem
i tell u to town that **** to his house before someone strips the crap outta the car......
it can be:
bad fuel pump
bad O2
make sure it gets right MAP sensor
right firing order
Main relay
clogged inyectors
etc...
just give a little more info by telling what codes come out, and more details....

Sounds like one of my idiot friends when he turned his fuel pressue up to high.
His car ran fine til you gave it any gas, then it would just sputter and die..

sounds kind of like my swap except it didnt die. but it did sputter. you should check the distributor wiring, and also where your injectors are grounded. my friends who wired mine wired it to a shared ground so it was constantly firing. good luck!
