Default Want to hook up my 1990 DX HB (A lot of help please. sorry if this is wrong forum?)

I want to make my car pretty fast and look nice... but I am an automatic

Right now

Looking at B16A (But this is stick!) - Conversion cost $1500!? + Swap cost + engine cost (I'm looking at well over 3k for this)
-What other option do I have other than this?

Transmission - maybe this comes with engine?

Euros, headlights, body kit... can't find NOTHING for this year civic

I need a new engine pretty bad because my current one has 200k miles on it, still rising and I want some speed in my engine so I can actually race some ppl and beat them! maybe get a t25 turbo on the b16a if this all works out

Please help, all info on any of this would be appreciated
-And I can't work on my car, I know nothing about cars ... so I have to pay for labor on all of it-

well, unless you have money growing on trees, which is unlikely considering the car you (and I) own, then you're probably in for a lot of headaches.

Sell the car and get a '91 5 speed. That's what I have, plus the '91's have painted bumpers. Go from there.

Auto to manual tranny is a pain plus you will be paying mucho dinero.

bad choice in my opinion.

if you were doing the work yourself it'd be a different story 'cuz you might enjoy the challenge

Theres bodykits for the car. Most of them imo look ugly. The only kit i like is the wings west rs kit 6pc bodykit. Theres projector headlights and euros for the car. If you want speed I think you should save money for a b20vtec swap If you want a little more speed for a cheaper price get a zc swap it'll run under a $1000

get an Si engine. i really think theyre under rated. youll thank yourself for it. and you can always put a z6/y8 head on to get VTEC. plenty of aftermarket still for these engines. or get the b series like eveyone else. theres alot of stuff for these cars. just look around. plenty of stuff.

depends what u wanna do.
i fu wanna stay automatic, u can get a SOHC VTEC engine , a ZC , and put it oin ur tranny.... u might hurt the performance a little since its auto.....
if u want a Bseries engine, i just recomend u to swap a manual tranny.... the D series engines are going to be under 1K, a B series its going to be 2K and more....
like they said, the WW body kits its the best choice....
get a nice paint, chameleon or something....

if u want the proyectors and euros, go into ebay, type 88-91 Civic... they pop out like crazy and they are for a fair price......

on a side note, a ZC turbo its very fun to drive!!!!

just got back from a couple races, kinda making me want this stuff more...
auto to stick is only thing holding me back ... I don't want a WHOLE new car, I really like mine right now, and another $700-1000 for a body would kill me, then prolly more stuff would have to be done...

really want the b16a2 or the best engine possible for my car ...

Youd want the B16A1 so you dont have to change to OBD1. That automatic is really gonna hold you back. If you want to have a really fast car your gonna need a manual and youll spend a good amount of money just changing the car from auto to manual.
