Default i need to know if i can use this fmu....hurry! 20 min!

i need to know if I can use a vortech 8:1 fmu on my custom turbo setup.
i plan to run no more than 8 lbs of boost right now.
i'm running a T04 turbo, but might switch to a T3/T4
is this too much?

On stock injectors I doubt you'll have enough fuel. You can always just change the disc tho.

get a 12-1 unless you have injectors etc
you dont need to know what it means, jus tmake sure you have it.

yes

...but if you're running the afc hack, you have to run bigger (450cc) injectors, which in turn would make you run the 8:1 disc

I would go with a 12:1, and if you want to buy one I have one that is brnad new in plastic and has never been used or even taken out of the plastic for that matter. It is for sale, make me a reasonable offer and it's yours.

Later,

Sean C.

You also need a missing link, ghetto check valves or electronic map limiter....so your ECU doesn't see boost and throw a code.

bro, you should have a inline pump and an fmu just to think about boosting. I dont think that anymeans would come close to "completing" your fuel management...a hondata 2b is a good start...but you dont need a whole new fmu if you have the 8:1, just get a new disk. The 8:1 **** is how many psi you fuel pressure increases per lb of boost. If you have the 8:1 disk, then for every lb of boost, then you fuel pressure rises 8psi, not enough if you dont have big injectors...but if you run high boost with stock injectors, thats too much fuel pressure, and also could be trouble. so an inline pump, 12:1 fmu and 7lbs could hold you over...you could try to tune it out some with the afc..luck BTW a t4 may be alittle big for your current set up.

yeah walboro intank with 12:1 and stock injectors

not a good plan you will want less than 8 psi more like 6psi

12:1x8psi=96psi
96psi+40psi(stock)=136psi trying to sqeeze through stock injectors>>>>>>(under boost)

can u say toooo much pressure?

just a thought
