did any 5th gen ever come with external ignition coil?

Default did any 5th gen ever come with external ignition coil?

i can't figure out if someone has sent me the worng dizzy or what.the dis cap has a 5th port on it.is this used for an external coil or something? the ignitor is not in the distributor so i'm figuring there has to some kind of maybe aftermarket igniton or something.someone please help me i'm stumped.

EG never had an external coil. I changed my integras internal coil to an external setup, it's no biggie.

The accord distributor cap is the same as a civic cap (except for the external coil hookup). Maybe that is what you have?

is there a possibility he was using this as a cheapo msd cap?like running a coil off the other port?
