94-96 EL gauge harness swap = no more JDM fogs
Just finished up swapping a 94-96 EL gauge harness into my 93 Si for the EL gauge conversion. On my old harness, I did the paper clip trick to have my JDM fogs come on whenever my headlights were on. Now that the 94-96 harness doesn't have the fog light connector behind the tweeter, my fogs obviously don't work.
I would like to have the fogs remain to only come on whenever I switch to my headlights. Without having to install an aftermarket/OEM switch anywhere... unless I absolutely have to. Anyone have any insight on the situation?

What we did on my brother's was ran the two wires on each foglight to the low beams, but that's not always to proper way to do it, it worked fine though.
But I don't think I want to go that route. Here's a post I found after searching a bit:
i just fixed this problem yesterday after not having working fogs for like 2 months.
i used the EL harness and sacrificed my fogs for a lil while for easy install of the cluster lol.
yesterday me and a buddy finally had time to work on it and heres what we did:
look under the dash for your foglight relay. cut the blue/red wire and the red/green wire (i think all the others are red/yellow IIRC). add some wire to those to wires to get to the switch. then, if you're looking at the switch from the front, i think its the two pins farthest to the right. butt connector your new wires to the old ones (if you saved your plug from your old harness like i did) and the fogs should work.

Get your old harness and trace the wires for the fogs back to the plug on the driver side. Take the plug apart, pull the wires and pins and then plug them in the new harness in the same slots you took them. That's what I did, it's pretty easy.
I don't have a new harness where there is a fog light plug. Like the old 92-93 gauge harnesses, the 94-96 EL gauge harness does not have the tweeter fog light switch harness. Could you explain further?

You can take the wires for the switch from your old 93 Si harness and plug the pins into the new 94+ harness and then you can wire up the switch.
I think he means save your old 92-93 dash harness, trace the fog light portion of that harness and de-pin it. After you de-pin it just remember where each wire came from and plug them back in on the 94-96 dash harness.

Exactly, I didn't think I did a too bad of job trying to explain. =/
Hopefully this thread helps out anyone needing to get their fogs wired back up after an EL gauge harness swap. Thanks guys.
