Icon6 stuck throttle cable, please help cars idling at 3k!

as the title says, my throttle cable is stuck on my ls/vtec and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get it unstuck.

Is the problem the throttle cable or a stuck open throttle plate?

I'm pretty sure it's the throttle cable, I started the car and let it sit for a few minutes. after a few minutes of it sitting at 3k, I popped the hood and pushed the thing the cable is connected to (the throttle plate?) to the left and it went back to idling normally.

I'm not really sure to tell you the truth.

Disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle body. Now turn the throttle plate from where the cable was attached to see whether, after turning the plate to WOT, it returns freely and effortlessly to the fully closed throttle position. If the plate sticks open, cleaning the throttle body should solve the problem.

Leave the cable detached from the throttle body and push the accelerator pedal up and down to see if it fails to move freely. If so, try to figure out where the problem is, the cable or pedal.

i have had the boot on the throttle cable move under the cable holder thing on the throttle body and cause it to stick open (sorry i forgot what the thing is called lol)

anyways, make sure that boot isnt slid under that.

and do what everyone else said

sorry it took so long to get back to this. I figured out what was wrong, and when I traced the cable back to the pedal, the plug that goes into the firewall came out and ended up stretching the cable out. put the plug back in and car idles fine now.

thanks for the advice everyone.
