My buddy bought a hatch with a GSR swap. A local shop built the motor for the old owner. The block is bored to 81.5 with 81 pistons. They told him they did it on purpose cause it was supposed to be a nitrous motor. I think it's crap. Is there any reason forbthis or did they just screw up?
that is insane......the engine wont run for very long with that much clearance.
find a new shop to build your engines.

even a real "race" motor, built with expectations of tearing down often would not be set up with that much swell room.
take it apart and measure it. if that really is what is done to the motor, it will not be happy
