Looking to buy 1999 CRV. what to look for...

Going to see a 99 5-speed. Has 116K miles.

Other than the usual, what should I look out for? How do I ensure 4x4 the tranny is good?

it's not 4x4. Grab the shaft and make sure it's not loose, or moves. do a u turn and see if there is noise, check if the timing belt has been done, and the valves need to be aligned every 30k.

make sure the valves were adjusted, if not p0300-p0304 cylinder misfire, then you'll need to replace the head.
