When you said you replaced the VSS with a used one... i was like "tsc, tsc", this is so common to accords, you probably installed another bad one in.

thats what i am kind of thinking i am gonna try a new one and see what happens. so i am assuming that the "S" blinking along with the cel means it is a transmission issue mainly? what about the solenoids on the front of the trans? could those go out and cause this problem?

The "s" can blink when the VSS is out, remember seeing a thread 2 weeks ago where the guy thought he had 2 separete problems.. but.. it was only the VSS. You already know the location right?
A new one will cost about 30 bucks or so.

i dont think so. I saw ones for the 90-93 and they looked like they had a plug or strap coming off of them. Just google VSS and your year accord, and search around.
