Default b18b revlimiter

well to make a long story short, i busted a motor mount, **** happened, but now its fixed. in the middle of this i somehow lost 200 - 250 rpm. i'm running a 96 integ b18b in my 93 civ, stock internals etc, obviously used to red line at 7200, and now i'm getting the computer cut off around 6950-7000. now in the big stream of things, this most likely wouldn't kill me, but in acceleration and definiently top end, its a big deal. and its really just ******* weird.. i'm not sure if maybe during the fall something happened, or if its unrelated. i don't really see how the computer could get screwed up, i would have thot it either works, or it doesn't, not adjusted, and if so how could i reset it?? then again it could be a tach issue? any thots are appreciated.

pull the back-up fuse in the box under the hood, wait 10 seconds then plug it back in. thatll reset the ecu.

Eh? if you do that its more like wait 45-60 min, if you disconnect both positive and negative battery terminals and touch them together for 10 secs, that will do it. Just letting you know.

I would also suggest resetting the ecu. But just to pick knits, you said it used to red line at 7200 (I think you meant fuel cutoff). The 94+ b18b1's redlined at 6800 rpm and made their peak power at around 6300 rpm. Going far past there might actually hamper your acceleration. In mine anyway I can feel the power drop off right before 7000. Just a suggestion.
Here is a pretty good site for different engine specs.

Good luck.

Shift a 6800-6900 and you will be fine . Unless you have head work done, and or reworked ecu. You could probably take the rev limiter off and rev to 7500, but it is useless without other mods.
