Pad Retaining Clips & Rubber Cylinder Seals
Where can i find some new brake pad retaining clips for a 98 ex coupe?? i've been to several stores and googled like crazy, but i can't find what i'm looking for..
i found some at a parts store near me, but they were 32$ for a pack of way more than i need, and they are small clips (4 per pad i guess??) as opposed to the big long ones that i have right now (2 per pad). what do stock ones look like?? 32$ seems overpriced to me..
the ones i have now are bent and old, but maybe all i should do is bend em back and lube them with grease? thoughts?
also, is it possible to buy the brake cylinder rubber seals seperately, or do they only come in kits..mine are torn and pieces are missing, but i'm not sure how big of a deal that is..
thanks in advance!!

My clips were bent and I just bend it back... works fine for me. Did you try to see if the dealers sale them?
If it's too expensive.. try the junkyards.. there should be tons of them out there.. good luck.

You can buy the retaining springs from the dealer separately , but you cannot just buy the caliper boot, you must buy a reboot kit.
And i would advise replacing the boots sooner than later as they help keep dirt/dust out of the caliper, and even a small amount can reduce the performance and longevity of the caliper.
Here's a link to Majestic honda, they almost always have the best prices. The retainer springs are less than $6 each.
