Is the s300 significantly better than the s200 w/boost
Hey guys, I need a little help. I have the s200 in my 99 em1, over the last year or so I have changed the turbo, DP, and switched from a cast to tubular manifold. Now I need to have the car tuned and I am finding most tuners have switched over to the s300 and dont do the s200 anymore. Joe at tempest built and tuned the car for me originally but now I have moved to Fl and he is in MD so its not cost effective to send the car back to him. This car is my toy and I have put less than 3k on it in the last 3 years. So the question is...Is it worth the investment to switch over to the s300 or should I keep the s200 and find a tuner. Sorry for the long post. BTW my power goals are around 400 whp not sure if this matters though.

Best thing about the S300 is that you can run a PWM boost controller. With that, you can have boost by gear/rpm, and be able to ramp the boost. With that alone, I would make the switch to S300.
This is what ramping boost is. This car had a creep problem, so I ramp the boost so it would have the same PSI from about 5200rpm to 9500rpms. You can see the difference.
It is with neptune, but same difference:

Thanks turbogixxer I appreciate the info. I guess I will switch over, After doing the math on keeping the 200 vs the 300 it works out to be almost the same...Now I just have to find a tuner hear in south florida...are you a tuner is see your in boca which is not far from me.
