Default air/fuel gauge help

so i got the gauge hooked up. i tapped into the white wire after the clip so its tapped into the engine harness side. but the lights dont come on until i rev past 4k.. when im idleing nothing is coming up. i would try to tap into the wire on the ecu but i cant find wire diagrams anywhere. i have a p06 computer. is this normal? i thought when you hook it up it should light up all the time while the car is running.

im tryin to get my a/f gauge to work right. i tapped into the white wire on the o2 sensor but on the harness side.(after the clip) but the a/f gauge only reads when im over 4k rpms. did i tap into the right wire? i was thinkin about tapping into the wire on the ecu to get a better reading. but idk what wire it is..

so your installing a bling gauge? Sounds like a narrowband gauge judging by the OP.

If you want somthing that'll actually work and be accurate look into AEM or Inovate afr gauges
