Bar between CV HalfShaft and transmission box? Name?
I think that the bearing that the bar rotates on is bad. That and my CV halfshaft
is a POS. Anyway.. does anyone know the names of those parts? Specifically
the bearing tripod(?), bearing, and that rod that is between the CV halfshaft and
the transmission box?
Prices?

I think you already know what it is. The cv axle is what connects to the wheel. The half shaft goes between the cv axle and the tranny. I don't know about prices though.
That is true for the passenger side.. but on the Driver's side, the CV halfshaft is
not long enough to reach to the transmission box.. there's a bearing and another
shaft that connects the inner CV joint to the transmission box..

Expect to spend around $100 for a used half-shaft. BTW i had no idea what you were talking about earlier as you had all your terms confused until you mentioned the tri-pod thing. Haha anyways, its driver side axle, passenger side axle, and half-shaft or intermediate shaft. Cv boots are located on either side of the axle. Hope that clears up your definitions.

You might want to look for one in a junk yard.. from the dealer they would prolly charge 500 plus for that and its gonna be expensive anywhere else.
