Does it come with proof of compression numbers and any type of start-up warranty/guarantee?

 

It is legit and everything. So here's the thing that bugs me, he bought it on ebay and it came with a 3 month start up guarantee He never installed it though because he wrecked the car he was going to put it in before he got a chance to swap it, therefore he can't really guarantee the motor is good. Can you do a compression test or a leak down test with the motor out? Sorry if that's a dumb question lol.

You have to be able to crank the motor over, this would be very difficult to do (and get accurate results) outside of the car.

Can you find out who the original eBay seller is? I would try emailing them and give them the VIN, see if you can transfer the warranty. If it's a reputable seller, this shouldn't be a problem.

Post the same thing on K20a.org under the swaps section, they'll have better info.
