Initial timing set-up tdc distributor position?
Ok,
1993 honda accord ex-r changing broken motor for a recycled one...
Got the motor out, gonna take the accessories off the current motor and prepare the new powerplant for installation. I am rtaking the distributor off the current motor and installing it on the new motor.
So as not to be too far off at initial start-up, does anyone have any tips or trick to setting timing advance? Mainly so it fires when I finish hooking everything up...
Thanks is advance...

the dizzy only fits one way. its off center to one side.
If tension and all timing marks are correct it should start right up ...
is this what u are asking ?

What I would do is put the the number one cylinder at top dead center and then make sure your rotor is pointing toward the number one spark plug wire, on the distributor, before you install it.
