Icon2 Any of you have a custom exhaust?

I've been looking for an exhaust for my AP2 but I love the way the stock one looks. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money and I don't care about performance gains or weight savings. I just want something a little louder and hopefully deeper.

Do any of you have a custom exhaust or aftermarket mufflers on your car? If so, please tell me what you have and what you think of it.

comptech is a good choice if you have an ap1... it looks stock, sounds great, weighs less and adds a few HP...

Why do you have to bash on this guy with stickers?... 95% of car modders put on a exhaust to make their car sound louder, not faster, within those are heavily modded ricers, like yourself, who talk about stickers, other 5% you can find on ht posting pictures of their turbo/supercharger/allmotor setup, which you drewl on.

to the op, go to your nearest muffler shop and have them estimate how much it would be to do a whole exhaust. i had my 00 ranger done for nearly half the price of a whole catback, plus stainless

Im looking for something that looks stock. I would like to keep the stock tips on the muffler to flow with the AP2 bumper. I was thinking two normal oval mufflers like the stock kind. Any help?

I also have a test pipe already.

Asura Designs in Anaheim, CA makes a great aftermarket stainless steel system for the S2000 with nice stock appearing tips.

You might want to PM bigmacnfries. I believe he bought an aftermarket exhaust and reattached his oval tips to make it look stock.

Local exhaust shop sounds like a winner. Be careful though, because they like shady ****....like removing your resonator and/or cat. Stock appearance w/ louder sound and virtually no performance increase.

Im just curious why would you consider resonator removal shady? i understand the CAT part because that's quite expensive. I would assume it would provide a little increase due to increased flow. Exhaust gases dont' have to pass through the resonator, but instead go straight to the mufflers.

To the OP since you have an AP2, Supersprint makes an exhuast that looks OEM. If i remember correctly the major difference is sound and its shiny.

Except for the fact supersprint thinks they make "titanium" exhaust and just the exhaust retail at 600+ each. So without piping you're looking at 2 exhaust canister for 1200$ shipped, for that price you could just get a whole aluminum exhaust and save the weight and make the car go somewhere.

If you want their whole package lol it's 850 (piping/resonator) + 600x2(each canister) they are jokes, they should just stick to the bmw crowd that likes over paying for everything they buy.

Whoa i had no idea they even sold their products like that. Thats the first time i've ever heard a company that sold exhaust in parts. But it does sound normal for the BMW crowd though. Good info.

To bigmacnfries: that looks very good. The only thing i don't like about the HKS hi-power is the resonator at the split. But it sure sounds good.

There's a few people over at s2ki that have removed that resonator and reckon it sounds even better. Which i doubt..
