I got a 88 crx d16a6 motor and some reason my idle be acting funny. The thing is when I start up the car my idle jump to like 2500 to 3000 rpm, and when I pull up the throttle pedal when my foot it drop back to normal. During driving too, when i stop or on neutral it jumps up again unless i pull up the pedal. So what the hell is going on, is it my cable too tight or need replacement or some sensor or something??? I need help figuring this out cuz Im starting to get tired of idle going crazy. Any help would be appreciated.

 

u pull the pedal up like it is sticking?

 

ok it sounds like u need to adjust the throttle body cable, turn the car on and adjust till you like where it idles at. GL
