OIL LEAK
i have a 97 civic and when i bought it it had 20 50 oil in it, there was no leaks and i thought the oil wa sway too thick. so i changed it and put mobil 1 10 30 and now oil is leaking on the front part of the engine and transmision where they meet? do u think it is becuase i have synthetic oil and i should go to like a conventional 10 40. or what. it didnt start leaking till i put the mobil 1 in it. i really dont wanna have to replace the seal between the tranny and engine
i know this is the last thing you wanna hear,
but from previous experience, ive seen people intentionally put heavier oil in an engine usually to silence a rod knocking sound or any etc.
but it shouldnt leaking in the first place, find the leak, and repair it, where ever it may be
