i have a problem opening my boot lid / trunk lid, as th elock seems to have siezed ( the last owner of my car left it in the garage for four years ) Any ideas how i can open the manual roof ?

My car is a jdm manual roof del sol.

i thought of drilling into the side of the locking barrel and pulling the lock wire to release the trunk/boot lid ?

OR...

Breaking a light and trying to get in that way ?

All ideas really appreciated especially if anyones got an exploded diagram of the bootlid lock area or can point me in th eright direction..

is there a latch inside the car that opens the trunk/boot lid? If so, you can get your finger on the cable and pull it to open it (unless the trunk is completely locked).
