or can i get a new casing? i was thinking about that but can i buy just the casing new from somewhere?

i ended up getting a new bell houseing for my tranny since the motor mount studs striped out and i was had jb weld holding them in wich was scary for a few days till i changed it
i used a ls bell houseing side i got from some one (only to find out someone had used the wrong size bolts for the stock mount on the front of the tranny and cracked the case so i used my friend jb weld again)
but judging by the qestions your asking do some research on how to do it its kind of a pain to do http://articles.evans-tuning.com/200...-differential/ start with that

You can get a new case from Honda, or look around for a used case. You'll need to shim the diff and mainshaft.
Welding it will likely warp it.

no these are casting cracks. if i had a better camera you could tell. ive seen casting cracks. oil doesnt drip from casting cracks the metal is shifted and metal flakes come off.
