Avid Shift Linkage Install in my 89 CRX Si.
I have alot of play in my shifter so i was told to replace the linkage. I have the avid shift linkage for the b series swap. i have dropped the short throw and taken the two 12mm bolts out. Now i just need to get the bitch pin out.. any suggestions or tips on making this an easier install??? anything will be much appreciated.
use an 8mm punch, or try this method which hasn't failed me yet. i prefer doing it this way cause i dont like the idea of taking punches or hammers to the shift selector on my transmission.
use the vice to squeeze the bit into the spring pin. This forces it out the other side into the open end of the socket. for more leverage use the vice grips.

get the car up real high, be safe and put some jack stands in place, grab a long A/C compressor bolt and beat that pin out like it owes you money
