It's a black box with a cable that blugs into some part of the wiring harness and what appears to be sensor on the end of it. It looks as if it bolts to the drivers side of the engine near the exhaust manifold. This is apparently a servo or something that kicks the VTEC in when the engine hits higher RPM. My ECU is throwing a code becuase this thing isn't hooked up. I guess you could call it the VTEC sensor. I don't know, anyone who really knows about SOHC VTEC wiring feel free to reply.

obviously someone knows how and where to hook this thing up but all I am getting are smart-*** comments, ok so someone with a working knowledge of engines help me out please, thanks.
hahaha. milpenis???
i live off p. victoria, nice to see southbay guys in here.
sorry dawg, as obvoius as you describe it, it's a vtec solenoid aka vtec spooler. although i'm not mechanically inclined. is it throwing engine codes? it should be code 21 for 95 and below engines and code 22 for 96 and above. this is applicable to any vtec engine. hope that helps. bad wiring, sensor, plugs etc. can link a cause.
wait, what is the problem? the z6 didn't come with the solenoid? clarify your situation.

the solenoid is not installed, that is my problem and I can't figure out how to hook the damn thing up. There is a blug that must plug into the harness somewhere and a sensor or something that plugs into the engine, but where and how. A schematic or an online manual would be great, if only I could find one.
