Look under the Accord FAQ. There is a thread in there for this.

I did the same basic step as listed in the FAQ but my headlights were much worse so I started out with 800, then went to 1000, 1500 and finished with 2000. All were used wet and I also took a soap and water mixer and ran it over the headlight while I was sanding the headlight, it keeps the lens surface clean and lubricated while sanding.

After I finished sanding I went to a 3m plastic cleaner on a micro fiber towel. After using that I then stepped up to a 3m plastic polish.

After all that my once extremely yellowed headlights were now looking brand new. Total time spent sanding and polishing both headlights was about 2-3 hours.

Elbow grease works just fine. An orbital certainly won't hurt (unless it's too fast and melts the lense) but would just speed up the process. Do a search on HT and there's tons of threads about it.

nope, I didn't use any power tools. Just hand sanded and hand polished.

I think I took some pictures when I did it, I'll have to look when I get home.
