Default Motor Choices?

My buddy is gettin rid of his b18a1 minus dizzy. Sellin it way cheap its hard to pass up. I have a 97 civic ex with d16y8, wat do you all think about these ls motors? Would it be a beneficial swap for me?

I also have a turbo kit for my d16 that just got to my door, I can't decide which would be my best choice. I'm thinking that since this turbo is sittin at my feet i might as well put her on

that y8 won't hold ****. Trust me I've seen those things blow up too many times. Do the ls as long as its in good condition. you can always boost the ls down the line...or now?

Boosted D or stock LS...that's not much of a competition. The turbo D hands down...end of discussion

With the kind of money u need to swap in the Ls i'd spend it on tuning the turbo D. Thats wat i should of done the same but i was too hellbent on a b-series.
