Default Dash fuse question

Ok the service manual has 3 points on it labeled Option. I'm trying to figure out what they are, I think they're just some kind of 12v source. I'd like to make sure thats what they are.

Thanks!

best to leave it the way it was made...if you start being nosy and moving wires and connecting **** around you might actually cause a short...you know what they say "if it aint broke, why fix it"

Well there's an OLD alarm system in the car which worked for a while when I bought the car used then the alarm started going off on it's own and the remote couldnt turn it off even tho it can do other stuff like open/close the windows and pop the trunk.

The alarm system is just junk now. I'd guess its at least 15 years old. Plus there's the leftovers of an old stereo system and stuff. I'm just cleaning it all out. I do know what I'm doing, I just need to verify what those points are since I can't take a voltmeter and probe them at the moment.

I know I can start the car and run it with the alarm's power disconnected so thats not an concern there. I'm still carefully untangling the mess of wires but so far I've only found one wire from the alarm system that is tapped in to the factory harness. They didn't even shrink wrap or tape over that tap, its exposed wire right there *sigh*. Must be a thousand zip ties holding everything together in there.

they are 12v power sources - my manual actually shows 5 labeled 'option', 2 at very top and 3 right above the other fuses - i can find 3 of them on the wiring diagrams - unfortunately, the numbers indicating which is which are to blurry to read - one is controlled by fuse 12 and is hot at ALL times - one is controlled by fuse 17 and is hot in ACC or RUN - one is controlled by fuse 18 and is hot in RUN only

have one of your buddies help you remove all the wiring that you dont need anymore...if you start to yank and pull wires just for the hell of it you might do some damage to your electrical...if not just take it to a local alarm shop and pay to remove it...it shouldnt be expensive to remove like it would be to hook up...!!!

I'm all good now. It's out of the car now. Was only 2 taps, one for the fuel pump and the other one was in the back of the fuse box, I'll have to check and see which it was later. I'm surprised it only had 2 taps but whatever.
