hey i have a d16a6 in my 89 crx si. and every morning when i go to start it it takes a little while for it to fire up just cranks for like 5 seconds. and when it does fire up it stumbles for a sec and then it's fine. it only does this when the car is cold, if i cranked it up in the morning and let it run 5 seconds then shut it off and turn it back on it starts back up perfectly fine and normal. also when my car is idling weather cold or warm it has a realy slight miss that you can hear through the exhaust tone. the miss is so slight if you look at the rpm neddle you can't see it moving at all from the miss but you can hear it through the exhaust just a put------put,put--put---------put sound randomly. if im driving at all you can not feel any hesitation or missing at all it's purely on at idle. can anyone think of what my problem might be with this stuff.

 

i have the same problem with my ls vtec,, i replaced my intake manifold the other day and noticed that one of my injectors was cracked and it may be leaking fuel into the cylinder when it sits for a while and it causes a bad startup. ill be replacing the injector this week and will let you know if that fixed the problem,

 

I'd be interested to know how you make out. I have the same problem with a stock 88 CRX Si.

I replaced the spark plugs last weekend and it seemed to help until this morning when it took forever to finally turn over.

If I can't figure it out this weekend, it's off to the mechanic on Tuesday morning.
