Default Brake Problems on my EK, please help

I've got a 96 dx coupe and have a loss of pressure lately. I after replacing the brakes and a caliper I have narrowed my problem down to either the master brake cylinder or proportioning valve. The situation is that ONLY the front left brake has a loss of pressure when bled. All the other brake lines bleed fine and there is no clog in the line or hose leading to the front left brake. Is it possible that it would still be the master cylinder? or since it's only one line, would it make more sense that it's the proportioning valve?
