Default reassembling tranny - too much gasket former?

i put my tranny back to gether last night using honda's ultra flange II gasket form and put ont he suggested amount, but when i tightened the two halves together, a good bit squeezed out from between the two halves, and i'm assuming quite a bit squeezed out on the inside as well. is this a risk to the tranny? can those pieces break off and hurt stuff? should i break it appart again and reassemble it with less gasket former?

also, it took me almost 30 minutes before i was able to get the two halves together. was that too long?

i don't know of the honda gasket former, but i have had the hondabond squeeze out on me some when putting the two tranny halves back together. a small amount has always squeezed out, so it was never much of a concern for me.

depending on how much squeezed out, you might want to separate the halves again and reseal with less gasket former. i know the ring gear on the diff sits pretty close to the edge of the tranny case.

paper thin layer on ONE case half. The cases are machined that good!

One tube of HB4 will do 75-100 trannys if it doesn"t dry up.
