so i replaced my wheel hub and bearing but when i try to put it back on the car i CANNOT get the lower ball joint to stop spinning so i can put the nut back on and be done with it...i've been working on this for 3 days now and i cant get it to save my life. i can turn and turn and turn but the nut doesn't go an further down and the ball joint just keeps spinning. PLEASE HELP!!

 

The castle nut can't go on?

Do you have the ball joint installer tool? It's pressed in essentially.

 

 

Get someone with a pry bar to pry up on the bottom of the ball joint while you tighten the nut, you'll probably need at least a 2 foot pry bar. The prying will keep it from spinning

 

or just put pressure on it while you turn the castle nut down.
