Default SRS steering wheel with non SRS dash?

I read the FAQs about non srs steering wheel and getting the horn to work.

Now I'm in the opposite position, a srs wheel, with a non srs dash, will I need to do anything special to get horn to work with the srs wheel?

When I say SRS wheel, that's only the ones with air bags I'm assuming?

Like is all wheels with air bags automatically SRS?

Thanks

I don't understand what you mean by "non-SRS dash." The dashboard has nothing to do with the wheel. All USDM '92-95 Civics had a driver's airbag. '94-95 models added a passenger airbag, but that still had nothing to do with the steering wheel.

Maybe thats what im getting wrong.....im not sure what SRS means...poor me.

Well im wanting to use a steering wheel with a airbag with a dash with no pass side airbag.

I seen a few FAQs that need stuff dont to a non-srs wheel to make horn and cruise control work, just making sure i wont have to with a dash with no pass. side airbag

if your car wasent fitted with srs steering wheel as standard the horn wont work strate away, and the airbag wont work, the srs steering wheels have electronic connectors at the wheel&colume where as a non srs steering wheel just has the round steel plate at the back witch makes contact with a pin on the colume to power the horn, if your car dosent have srs as standard i wouldent bother getting a srs steering wheel. and yes all steering wheels with air bags are srs

Yes it does have SRS standard...im just wondering if the pass airbag SRS is a separate unit from the steering wheel airbag.

well then the wheel&horn should fit fine providing you got that black plastic adapter that sits behind the steering wheel, thats what makes the connection from the wheel to the colume, cant tell you about the passenger air bag working with the drivers, i wouldent think so, if it did have a passenger air bag they are probley linked some where in the dash and not at the wheel
