Default Help. Rod bearing issue

So here is my problem, I was checking all the clearances with plastigage and one rod bearing was too tight, under .001". This was with acl race bearings, so i went to honda and bought the honda red bearings. Still way too tight. The rest were fine about .0015"

b18a
ls crank
eagle rods
arp rod bolts torqued to 43 ftlbs

Any suggestions or ideas on why its too tight?

Too tight?, thats better than loose. Polish the bearing surface of the rod and cap + the back of the bearing. Start with 320 grit in your hand(no machines), then buff with a grey or green scotch brite or equivelant. Then re check, I think maybe you have a burr on one of those surfaces cause your real close.
If it is still too tight you will have to get in contact w/ eagle or take the rod to a machine shop and have it reamed.

Well has anyone done this before? I wasn't about to use 120 grit that seems a little rough.

I'll assume that's sarcasm so what would you suggest?

I'm sorry, my fault don't use 120, use 320 or higher. Just be gentle. Another option is too have the crank micro polished. Try this first.
