How hard to switch engine harness?
I'm looking at buying a 95' teg with a JDM B18B. The guy said when it was swapped he used the JDM harness so the car throws a code for the cat becuase I guess the jdm harness has a single wire cat instead of a 4 wire. So how big a deal is this? Easy to replace with a new harness? Or is there a way to just wire a 4 wire 02 sensor in place of the single wire and not throw a code?? I don't know much about cars and am wondering if this is a easy fix or not.
Did he just use the engine bay harness or the whole cabin and ecu harness from the jdm motor? If just the engine bay harness then I would use the usdm harness, with the usdm ecu, and ur problem would be solved.
I'm assuming just the engine harness. The car is a 95 GS that had a B18C swap in it but he took that out and put in a low JDM B18B swap. I guess he didn't have a the stock engine harness anymore and used the one that came with the JDM motor.
