Background
ok so im going to be getting a wire tuck done on my EM1, and instead of hacking up my oem engine harness( i want to keep it if i put the car back to stock) i decided to buy an extra engine harness. i came across a 99 JDM CTR engine harness for a really good price and had the following question on it

Question

will all the connectors and sensors be compatible with my b16a2?

is there any difference between the two harness?
(keep in mind this is going to be my tucked harness so all the wire will be extended)

Don't waste your time with a jdm harness......

- everything is backwards! The main harness goes to the wrong side of the car
- jdm harness does have plug for vtec soleniod pressure switch
- jdm harness doesn't have plug for crank angle sensor by the pulley

Ordinarily i'd say that, but in the case of a wire tuck I can't see it making a whole heck of a lot of difference, it's going to get chopped to hell anyway.

yeah but the entire usdm harness still goes through the firewall on the passenger side. He would have to hack up every wire on the jdm harness just to get to the ECU.

could i use a 99-00 civic ex harness?

yes, but you'd have to extend vtec wires and change the dizzy plug.

Hey guys so I bought a 98 Sir that is wired up with a JDM harness. I have the JDM navigation system all functioning. Does anyone know how it matches up with the AC compressor? I just installed the AC system but cannot get power to the compressor or the fan. Is there a known way around this?
