Icon6 tranny??

Alright I got a b18c1 and I was replaceing the clutch and when I took off the tranny there was oil around the inside.. any clue what that can b??? My buddy told me it might b the crank seal.. help please!!

Its either the tranny or the crank seal.

it could be the seal from the mainshaft of the transmission check to see if the mainshaft has play that is the only reason those seals go out also the rear main could be going out take the flywheel off and replace it anyways it is quick and easy

The main shaft it the piece that connects the motor to the tranny.

What would I have to check on the main shaft?? Will I'm replacing the rear main seal and was jus wondering if the main shaft needs to b replace too..

Listen, where is the oil leaking from? Is it leaking from behind the flywheel on the engine, or is it leaking from behind the clutch release bearing on the transmission? Is it transmission oil or is it engine oil?

If it's leaking engine oil from behind the flywheel, then the rear main crankshaft seal is bad. Replace it.

If it's leaking transmission fluid from the transmission mainshaft seal, then you may have some bigger problems.
