as the title says my y8 gave out and im now in search of another, i dont wanna go b-series cause the lack of funds. now im in search of another y8 or something thats equivalent i found a jdm d15 for $550 now my question is. is it worth it for the 6th gen civic and what problems will i run into?

 

I dont see any problem you would run into, as long as you use all of your y8 components. Its worth if you need it right away. is the d15 complete? if not i think thats too much, i've seen y8 over on CL for about 600 complete, and 400 for the longblock.

I think its a bit much for a single cam. For the price of $600, you can definitly get a y8 on craigslist, but you may have to go outta town, or wait a bit, but since your in palmdale, that shouldnt be a big problem.

 

You're in cali, the motor is jdm, you're ****ed.

 

you should be able to pick up one cheaper then that, sohc you can make good power and decent torque with the right stuff.
