Default brake booster dilemma.

i just got a steal on an 89 crx si but with one little catch. it has "manual" brakes.

it stops just fine just takes a lot of leg effort, he told me it was plugged for some reason so when i got it home, i check it out and the line from the booster to the intake manifold was non existant and capped off on the intake manifold.

i replace the line as it should be, started it and touched the brakes. it felt normal but it caused a HUGE vacuum leak.

any suggestions?

thanks!

most likely there is a tear in the boosters diaphragm. replace the booster and you should be good to go.
