Icon2 Wideband and Narrow Band in one O2 Sensor

I just bought my EF with a poor mans Type R. The problem is that the guy I bought the car from converted it to OBD0 and I am trying to convert it to OBD1. The reason for me to convert it to OBD1 is so that I can tune it with Hondata S300. I know I need a 4 wire O2 Sensor for the conversion but I also need a Wideband O2 Sensor. I have heard that there are wideband O2 sensors that have extra wires so that it can send the narrow band reading to the ECU. Is this possible and if it is can I use this? Where can I get it?

www.plxdevices.com

Any of the PLX widebands will work as they have both wideband and narrowband outputs. This is the wideband that Hondata recommends.

The innovate product line will do it as well. The LM-1 or LC-1 or LM-2 will all do that. The good part about it is you can probably find an LM-1 cheap used..

PLX Wb's are good too.

I'll second the Innovative LC-1, just disable your heater wire in Crome/Neptune/eCtune/etc or you will get a CEL. (Currently have NB on normal O2 wire and WB on the ELD wire, works great w/ Neptune).

do you have to program the lc-1's narrow band output to match what the oem sensor outputs?

it has a 0-5v input and 0-1v input wire so yes. But you will have to wire your 0-5v to a 0-5v input on the ecu (typically ELD and disable ELD via software) and wire your 0-1v in place of the primary o2 pin (d14 IIRC). Then you will need to configure the wideband settings in the program in order to run closed loop off the wideband. In ectune and neptune (IIRC), closed loop, you can configure your own target AFR, what load percentage you want to switch to open loop...etc. Just tailor everything the way you want it and be sure to tune it a richer than your target so the ecu can make adjustments properly.

The AEM doesn't have a 1v output. It only has the wideband 5v and a serial output. No narrowband.

Is yours the posted AEM 30-4100 all in one guage wideband? the blue wire on said wideband is serial output, not narrowband.

Not if you want to use 2 analog outputs.

Yes the AEM will work. Make sure you get the one that has all the features you are looking for.

This is true for the AEM 30-4100 Guage-type UEGO Controller. It only has a single analog out. There are AEM UEGO kits that have 2 outputs though. So to say "AEM doesn't have a 1v output" is not entirely true.

AEM single UEGO will work:
Part numeber: 30-2301

http://www.aempower.com/images/produ...Controller.pdf

From the install instructions:

Orange Sensor #1 0-5 Volt Output
White Sensor #1 0-1 Volt Output
Blue Sensor #2 0-5 Volt Output (on 30-2300 only)
Green Sensor #2 0-1 Volt Output (on 30-2300 only)
Brown Signal Ground (use only on systems with a differential input, not the AEM EMS)
Red Switched +10 to +18 Volts (10 Amp Fuse Required)
Black Battery Ground

i woudl think anything running a bosch or ntk (newer design) sensor would work. the programs have to be manipulated to work. i know ectune can be set up to have just about any wideband run in closed look as a narrowband.

Ive been using PLX for over 6 years now with the WB and NB wired up and it works like a charm. I have a M300 in one car and a SM-AFR in the other.
