It can yes. It will trip the 2nd o2 sensor. You can buy a spacer for the sensor to fool it

You don't have to have MM, or a stiffy but that would be a good idea, as well as cutting the hanger on the header. The defouler isn't guaranteed but it's an option. The better option would be to get K-Pro (if $ is not a factor), you would get the most out of the modification as well as no CEL's, etc...

I also recommend not installing the hanger if you get a DCRH or etc.

They tend to crack there. You don't need it anyways just cut it off. This will help without having mounts or a stiffy

defoulers can be made also... i made mine with 5 dollars worth of parts from auto zone... the part is a spark plug non fouler, u want the one that says 18mm or something.. either way i think its the biggest one they sell.. the processs is then to drill a hole in one of them because u get 2 in the package.. drill a hole so the 02 sensor can fit thru it and the connect both foulers together with the drilled one on the 02 and then the second one on the drilled piece.. and thats your home made defouler.. i've had mine on for about 250 miles now and no issues.. normally the light trips after 50 miles

Both of them didn't fit on my rsx, there was just no way.. I just used one, & reseted my ECU. I'll see how long that lasts with out the damn check engine coming back on.
