i have a jdm b16a in my 92 integra but i think its gonna go out soon. it dims a lot when my system is bumping. even when i press the brake pedal i see my rpms drop or when i roll down my windows the rpm drops too. what is the amperage of a stock alternator? should i buy a 190amp alternator off ebay for like 200 or do you guys recommend something else?

Invest in a capacitor if you are having dimming issues from your system. Really bad dimming could be your battery/alternator letting you know its on its way out.

 

i think its the alt. when i hit the brakes or even turn on my radio with all the settings all the way down, i can hear the walbro fuel pump slow down too.

 

do u know how many amps the stock alternator pushes?

 

don't get a cap. if you do you'll be working your battery and alternator even more. here's a tip, were's the cap drawing the power from???? the battery. and were is the battery getting the power from??? the alternator.


rule of thumb first is to do the big three to see if that will help. i don't remember how it's done cause i've been out of the sound performance gigi for a while, but if you look in the faq of the sound section, it should be there.
